Winton is an active bassist that collaborates with musicians in the Tokyo/Yokohama area. He had his start as a bassist in the greater Los Angeles area playing for local pop artists. He then moved to San Francisco where he dabbled in other styles of music with folk/rock musicians, experimental jazz, and old school R&B/funk.
 
Returning to his home in Japan, Winton is now the bassist for Tokyo Retro, where they play funk/neo soul covers of pop songs. He also played for Bill Scholer when he was back in town, where they play jazz-influenced psychedelic originals and covers.
